Triathletes given the opportunity to race at the 2012 Olympic venue!

Hyde Park

London will be the sixth of seven stop-overs for the World Championship Series which began in Korea and finishes with the Grand Final in Australia in September.  Each event features an elite men’s and women’s race as well as an Age Group race. The event in London also hosts Paratriathlon races, the British Youth and Junior Championships and an expo - an international trade fair.

Places in the Age Group race are expected to sell out fast. The Age Group race will consist of a 750m swim in the Serpentine followed by a 20km bike and 5km run and will all take place in Hyde Park on Sunday 16 August 2009.
Entries are limited to just 2,100 and participants can register for the Age Group race at www.triathlon-wcs-london.org.

Highlights from the Strathclyde Park Elite Triathlon will be aired at 08:00am on 20 June on Channel 4 and will be repeated 08:00am Sunday 21 June.
