The first 70 miles were fun and very enjoyable. Didn't enjoy the long climb out of Lambourn, it may not be that steep, but it seemed it at the end of the ride and Uffington White Horse was just unnecessary that late in the ride.
 
Sorry not to stop. Thanks for the support.  I didn't think I would get back on if I stopped. I didn't stop at the feed stations either. Had there been more feed stations I would have beaten Ian and Rick! They set out looking like they had just done a supermarket shop, laden down with food, but still had room for cake.
 
I miscalculated the miles and thought I was under real pressure to get a silver time, then when I thought I had 7 miles to go I saw a sign saying Shrivenham 3 miles - a huge relief!
 
Thought I was going to faint whist the guy at the finish was taking my time chip off, the sky was turning upside down but made it to the grass in time. Very glad when it was over. Don't feel too bad today, knees a bit creaky.
