Sian asked my advice about bike training in the winter, I thought I ould pass on what I'm up to.
During the winter months I'm doing three bike sessions per week, I'm not hat keen on taking my road bike out on wet and slipery roads so my
training is made up of two gym bike sessions and a weekend mountain bike ide.
The gym bike sessions are an hour each, we have new Gymtechno bikes at St Marys and they have a number of pre programmed training sessions some
based on heart rate some on hill profiles, these are great machines, I try different profiles to keep the interest levels up and set the level such that its a hard session sometimes doing a brick run on the running machine afterwards.
The weekend mountain bike session is general about two hours depending in the weather and how cold and wet I get.
So there we go, that's what I'm up to, I would be interested to hear others training plans.
