Had a cracking time really enjoyed the whole thing!!!

Arrived on the friday set up the caravan and the awning then myself and the
family went to the bar on site for food and drinks.
Sandy Balls is a very good family friendly site and i thought they handle
having the race there very well.
I got up at 4o'clock had coffee and toast sat there with the heater on in
the awning listening to AC/DC on my ipod to try and wake myself up.
I took the micky out of Billy for all his faffing about with his kit but he
didn't forget his arm warmers like i did!!!
Well what can i say about the swim the first lap i was all over the place
the second lap i got swam over by the faster swimmers of the third wave and
just before the last bouy i had to call for assistance from one of the
boats because i had cramp in my left calf muscle so spent a couple of
minutes on my back wait for it to go away. Got out of the water just under
48 mins had to ask Billy's clare to unzip my wetsuit(must pratice that).
T1 went ok then off on the bike didn't really feel the cold(no arm warmers)
as i was thinking am i going to be able to run having just recovered from
cramp!
The bike leg went ok i did it in 3:12 so inside the time i had allowed
myself(can't really remember any big hills on the course)
It was great to see Steve Scammell on the bike course i really was a boost
to see a mad-trier.
T2 could of been a bit quicker but i needed a comfort stop!
I set off on the run and guess what ....yes more cramp i didn't know you
could get cramp in so many places but i kept going and ran the whole course
and nobody overtook me so i felt well pleased with myself.
I was glad i had gone out on the saturday morning to run the last bit of
the run leg so i knew what i had to do to break the 6 hour mark!!
I crossed the line in 5hours and 57 mins so i was happy but tired!!!
