Went around the Wantage triathlon this morning. Great morning to be out, hardly any wind - fantastic.
Highs.....
My yellow bike - va va voommmmmmmmmmm. ......... .
Great countrysde and scenery!
No traffic! I think I was passed by one car and 3 going faster cyclists betweeen 10-11 am on a Sunday morning.
Getting off the bike and being able to run.
Getting to the top of the hill - even with a little walk...
Picking up a suntan.
Chatting to all the marshals en route.
Reaching the finish line - and seeing all the boys were in! And no injuries!
Lows.....
The rakish saddle angle on my bike.
Legs falling off up the first hill - deja vous....
A really good event - although I thought the run didn't finish soon enough. Sun stayed in until the last 20 minutes of my run. Picnic in the car...
£18! entry - a real bargin. SOLL also organise Farringdon - 2/9/7; 800m swim, 33M bike and 5M run.
See you there! - Sarah.
Not only was Wantage tri very well organised, quick and easy to get to, friendly small local event, loads
of free parking, more than twice the distance of Blenheim but less than one third the price, great undulating cycle & run, two free long t-shirts in the goodie bag, good locker/showering/changing facilities
but they also sent out correct results on the day of the event. I would highly recommend this event to all. Phil.
